Here at Inverclyde Carers Centre we work with Young Adult Carers aged from 16-25 years old.  This gives us the opportunity to look at ways of helping them in their caring role and also in their personal life.

We recognise that our YAC’s are young people first and foremost,therefore, we encourage them to take part in fun activities, to learn life skills and to look at what their life aspirations are.

Our YAC service also includes;

  • 1:1 Support
  • Group outings/ Activities/Workshops
  • Relaxation Therapy
  • Counselling
  • Education, Employment and Training guidance
  • Short breaks

Our Young Adult Carers group meet at the centre Every Wednesday from 5pm till 7pm. During this time the group look at Young Adult Carer issues/concerns, planning future days out, training opportunities, workshops and most importantly giving the group a platform to be heard. If you would like more information about the group you can contact our Youth Worker, Stacey Gillen, at the centre on 01475 735180.
