Work

Expand

Many Carers give up work, or have never been able to work due to their caring responsibilities.  Inverclyde Carers Centre works with various organisations that can help Carers return to the workplace.  This could be identifying existing skills or developing new ones, building conficence, brushing up on reading, writing or numbers or applying for jobs.

Board

Expand

Many Carers find that when their caring role comes to an end they have more time available to pursue their own interests.  For some people this includes a desire to give something back to their community and ensure Carers have the information, advice and support they require to sustain their caring role.

Your Centre Needs You

Inverclyde Carers Centre is a voluntary organisation led by people who have first hand experience of caring.  The centre supports Carers from all different backgrounds and wants to ensure a wide  range of experiences are represented on the board.

Are you a Carer or former Carer?

  • Do you want to help ensure quality support for Carers?
  • Can you help plan services being delivered at the centre?
  • Would you like to be part of a team that leads the centre forward?
  • Would you like to join the board?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions please get in touch with Lorna MacDonald or a Board Member to find out how you could get involved.
