Carer Support Assistant - Outreach
This post is part of the Scottish Govt’s No-One Left Behind (NOLB) provision, this role is to provide support to the Carers Centre including Carers groups and providing information and support to local Carers. The role is 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide support and information to Carers throughout Inverclyde

Tasks: 

  • Provide support to carers groups
  • Provide up to date information for carers out with the centre
  • Assist with social activities for Carers
  • Liaise with other organisations in providing support to Carers
  • Identify ‘Hidden Carers’ within Inverclyde
  • Undertake other duties as appropriate to the post when required

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of MS Office
  • Good standard of written English

  • Experience of caring situations in a personal or professional capacity
