COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PRACTITIONER

£26,000

35 hours per week

Inverclyde Carers Centre is a charity that provides information, advice and support to unpaid Carers throughout Inverclyde.  We are looking for a highly motivated Community Development Practitioner with the knowledge and skills to directly address loss, isolation and loneliness experienced by Inverclyde’s Carers.  The successful applicant will take pride in their work, and be comfortable and confident in ensuring every element of the project is delivered to the highest standard

The post holder will be responsible for Inverclyde Carer Centre’s EPiC programme, which will establish a volunteer befriending scheme, social activities, training and support groups for any carer in Inverclyde. 

This project is funded by National Lottery until 31st March 2022.

SESSIONAL CARER SUPPORT WORKER

AP3 £20,602

7 hours per week

Your role as Sessional Carer Support Worker will be to identify and support hidden Carers who find it difficult to access support services from the Carers Centre in Greenock. The Outreach Project provides information, advice and support through home visits, community based surgeries and local events.

These roles involve direct work with young people and PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland will be required if appointed.
