Support for Carers Short breaks Alternative Short Breaks What is a Short Break? Put simply, a short break is any form of service or assistance which enables a carer to have sufficient and regular periods away from their caring routines or responsibilities. Who can access our Alternative Short Breaks Carers who have not accessed similar type short breaks through ICC in the last 12 months. Carers who have not been referred or receiving short breaks from HSCP. Short breaks are available to Carers of all ages, gender, ethnicity, religion, race, sexual orientation, disability, caring responsibilities, economic and political affiliation. What costs can be met? A maximum of £150 for goods or services which can be used during social distancing eg.
