"After giving up work in 2010 I became a full time Carer for my late mother, and in 2011 I nursed my husband through terminal cancer. This prompted me to contact the Carers Centre and in 2013 I joined the board.

It’s a really varied role and I enjoy the monthly board meetings. They give you a real insight into all the work that goes on behind the scenes. You get involved in the business decisions and can shape the future direction of the organisation.

I like to think that I’m helping to make life a little easier for Inverclyde carers."
