Carers are often rushing through their day without stopping to notice the present. Paying more attention to the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you – can improve your mental wellbeing. Some people call this awareness "mindfulness". Mindfulness can help us enjoy life more and understand ourselves better.

Mindfulness means paying attention to what is happening in the present moment and not worrying about the future or things in the past. It has been shown to help alleviate stress and anxiety and to assist with managing pain.

Inverclyde Carers Centre is running Mindfulness sessions for Carers, were relaxation and short meditation exercises will be taught in an informal manner. These sessions will be held within the Centre on:

Tuesday 19th March 5.30pm - 7.30pm

Wednesday 20th March 1pm - 3pm
